Has anyone done a career change resume?? I really want to go onto a new career path and I find it very frightening but very necassary for me. So, if you have written one or have gone through this before please help.

Ladies THANK YOU so much for your replies. Life is very interesting. Everytime I try to break out of my current industry something happens to pull me back in. LOL I just recently got promoted. However, I do really want to work on my resume because I believe that I belong somewhere else. The environment is poison. Either case,your advice has been great. I am definitely going to apply it to my resume.

Hi Angel! Career changes can be scary at first, but if you are following a path that will eventually make you happy it is well worth it. Make sure that your objective statement explains what your experience is and where you are seeking to go. You can use this statement to explain why you think the skills you have will apply in your new career. The job market is VERY competitive right now with such low unemployment rates. In order to beef up your experience, consider keeping your current job for a little while and working part time in your new field, taking an internship, or attending classes, lectures or seminars. This may help you appeal to your potential employers. Most of all, remember that marketing yourself is the same as marketing anything else - it's always trial and error. If you find that a resume is not getting you the call backs you want, tweak it a little and try again. There are some former HR pros on freelance sites that can write your new resume for you if

I would start by looking at the experience that you have on your current resumé and pick the ones that are closest to what you want to go into... if you need examples I have a packet I can try to scan and e-mail you!! good luck!! :)
