There are more single women in NYC then single men. I know some single attractive women that just can't a boyfriend. The men want just sex or short-term relationship. These girls are not ultra-aggressive so they are usually waiting for men to approach them. These women are attractive and some of them have been single for years aside from the occasional dates. So what do women like this do to find a good man?

In regards to your comment in which you say, "slingshot" dating, I know what you mean. I believe that a lot of women and men in their 30's feel this way. Your 20's are to explore what you are looking for, but also who you are. You're 30's is about just finding what you need and want. No need to "explore" anymore. Your 40's tends to go back to the method of being in your 20's because most are divorced. 50, 60's and 70's you are looking for a different kind of partner. But the needs of a 30 something year old are probably the most picky time of someone's life if they are still single. All of your experiences and desires are magnified in which you won't settle for less than a person who is something that we call a soulmate.

You never know if you could be out with the “one” and you are being everything else but YOU. So the question was, What do women like this do to find a good man? The answer is absolutely nothing. Just be you, because you never know!!

This is a very difficult topic and something that I am dealing with currently in my life. I personally am at a stage in my life that I cannot be someone’s "boyfriend" just to be a boyfriend. I need to know that this woman possesses the elements that I am looking for in a potential partner. Not to sling shot into the future but why waste time, a resource that is limited, with dating someone we know doesn't have what it takes or at least show the potential. I think I watch too many romantic comedies and hat I will have butterflies when I meet the right woman but then I ask myself, is that wrong? Is it wrong to know what I want in a potential partner? And the answer is no but I also need to be comfortable with being single and having to deal with bouts of loneliness during the journey. My advice or opinion in this matter is just be you. Be shy if that is who you are, tell jokes if you like to laugh, order a steak if you are craving red meat and it’s your first date. You never
