The costumes, hay rides, and haunted houses make Halloween one of the most fun and exciting holidays. However, the endless amount of binge candy-eating and delicious treats can leave some an unrecognizable size bigger this season. Here are some tips to keep the calories in check this year: 1) Buy smaller, fun size or mini versions of your favorites and only eat ONE or two daily, 2) Choose candy that takes time to eat like lollipops or suck-on candies, 3) Give out 100-calorie snack packs or 100% fruit chews, 4) Choose dark chocolate candy options with more antioxidants, or 5) Avoid candy completely by giving out trading cards, stickers, glow stick bracelets and necklaces, AND 6) DON'T leave the leftover candy in your house or on your desk at work...give it away!
