I recently started a new job. It was a spare of the moment last minute decision. I left a job where I had solid relationships with people after 7 years and have started all over in the past two weeks knowing no one and nothing. Yesterday started week 3 at my dream job. I landed a position at the Institute Of Integrative Nutrition where I studied to become a health counselor. I now work behind the scenes of the school. I received an email about a month ago that they had openings and applied. Well I got the job. It all happened in a flash and I took only a few days to make my decision. I decided not to tell anyone I applied or got the job until I made my decision. What if the YES decision was the wrong one? Well that little voice in my head said....just do it. Kerry you only live once. So I did it. If it had been the wrong decision than so be it. At least I know I in the end I didn't let the chance pass me by! My Secret....if you need change, never take chances and a huge opportunity comes your way....DIVE IN!

A time comes in all our lives, when we must move forward in order to continue learning and growing, we need to do this so that we may reach the next level in our personal and professional lives. Some people feel that once they have packed away their childhood toys and notions, that they have reached adulthood. . . I think not! It takes so much more work then that as you have shown. To have the courage and strength of will to be able to realize that the time has come to move to a higher level in your life, and then to have the resolve to act upon it, is a testament to your inner strength and intelligence. Never forget that not everyone is blessed with these gifts. Always do remember that there will be people in your life who will try to hold you back because of their own insecurities and fears, but by showing them your inner strength and courage, perhaps they can learn from you, and be able to reach another level in their own lives. How wonderful that your new career will put you in touch with so many new and interesting people. People with so much to offer. At the same time, you will be able to offer them back so much more because of your personal growth and strength of character, which allows you to continue on to a higher path. Never forget that if we do not strive to continually grow and move to the next level in our lives, then we become stagnant. An analogy of one becoming stagnant in their lives would be to look at a body of STILL water that has become enveloped by scum. Not a pretty site, but we can't deny its existence, all we can do is keep moving lest it tries to envelope us and keep us still. Now that you are on your new path in life you will have so much more to offer, i.e., introducing so many new and talented people to this wonderfully informative and creative site. . . .VAL' S SECRETS!!!!!!!
