ValSecrets, the online entertainment and social networking site, held its annual holiday party on Sunday and the party proved a success, once again benefiting a worthy charity. Toys, gifts and cash donations were brought by guests and ValSecrets neighbors offered up a video and a number of home-baked treats. All of the charity proceeds from the Hole in the Wall Holiday Event benefit the Hole in the Wall Gang Camps, an organization dedicated to giving a memorable experience to children with life threatening illnesses in northeastern Connecticut founded by Paul Newman in 1988. The party was held at MiLady's Bar and Restaurant in SoHo at 160 Prince Street in New York, NY on Sunday, December 20th.
Donations are accepted at the door in the form of money, toys or items off of the wish list at http://www.holeinthewallgang.org. Goodie bags will be given to the top 50 charity givers with promotional items provided by the ValSecrets and ValSecrets Neighbors including AveYou.com, LaCosta International Consulting and Augment Marketing Group, Priea Parsan, JimmyJohn Lip Balm, Cocktails and Connections by Tracey Lombardi, Scribbles and Doodles by Melissa O'Conner, and special beauty offers provided by Dr. Mike Fiorillo. The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp has been serving children with cancer, sickle cell anemia, HIV/AIDS, hemophilia and other life threatening illnesses for more than twenty years. Activities at the camp include archery, mini golf, swimming, boating, fishing, horseback riding, arts and crafts, sports, theater and camping. Special features of the camp include a zero-entry pool that provides water fun for all campers, regardless of mobility challenges and a special warming room that allows children with sickle cell anemia to enjoy swimming for the first time in their young lives. There is also an exceptional tree house, mini golf course and multiple trails that are all specially designed to be wheelchair-accessible, ensuring an inclusive experience for all youngsters.
All of the parties sponsored and hosted by ValSecrets benefit charitable efforts and support the community. This event is not an exception, though the ValSecrets neighbors all contributed to selecting the cause and chose a charity that is close to everyone. 'It's important for us to give back. One thing that many of the neighbors and me have in common is our drive to help others. I am so proud of that and fortunate to find such a group of people to be involved with ValSecrets. We have all been fortunate to be where we are now and we love to help those that are not so fortunate' said founder Valeria Tignini when asked about the company's charitable events.
