Because I am a swimsuit/lingerie model, everyone always asks me what I do to stay in shape. I am on several other networking sites, and the questions I get are always the same - "What can I do to look like you?"
First I will tell you what I do. Then I will share what you can do. When I first moved to NYC to continue my career in modeling, I thought I had to get an expensive trainer to get me in top notch shape. I spent a lot of $$$ on a trainer who did get me in shape, but at a high cost. After about 6 months, I learned that what he was doing was not something I couldn't do myself. I learned the exercises and started doing them at my gym at my place. If you girls are lazy and forgetful (like I am!), then listen up. The exercises he taught me lasted only a couple weeks. Right now, all I mainly do is run. I run about 3 miles, 4-5 times a week. Running is great!! It keeps me slim and lean!
I am also EATING almost EVERYTHING I want. When I was with my trainer, I was miserable. He put me on a strict diet - no dairy, no carbs, no sugar, no fat....How was I supposed to be happy? It was unreasonable. It would never last, and it didn't. Right now I do watch what I eat but not to that extent. I don't really eat loads of sugar or fat, but I do eat carbs and consume dairy. I love cereal with milk and I love sandwiches.
If you are trying to get in shape, the best thing to do is exercise. Don't starve yourself. Not only is it extremely unhealthy, but you will actually develop mood disorders and lots of other mental instabilities.
Sooooo, to get back to my SECRET and the question everyone seems to want to know.... My SECRET to staying slim and healthy is running. It's hard at first, but please give it a try. After a while, you will find yourself addicted. Also, try running outside instead of on the treadmill. Running outside will keep you motivated.
