As the President and Visionary of The Cancer Schmancer Movement, I see whole families destroyed because of the profound loss of their mother, sister or daughter due to late stage diagnosis of women’s cancers. If every woman we loved was diagnosed in Stage 1, almost everyone of them would live. This has become my life mission to ensure that no woman will ever again die from cancer due to the very avoidable late stage diagnosis. Early detection equals survival. It's as simple as that. We must make noise, a lot of noise about our health care. We must learn more; ask more questions, network more amongst each other, use the internet as a resource and most importantly, get second opinions all the time and without question or delay. It’s our bodies after all and it's our lives and when the doctor calls to tell you, you have cancer, at the end of the day the doctor goes home to eat dinner with his family while you go home to eat your heart out with yours…
