I do a lot of swimsuit and lingerie work, so I always have to keep my body looking its best!! I put together a couple things that you can do to keep on track too.
1. Make specific goals - You must know what your target weight is. Saying "I want to lose weight" is not going to motivate you to do so. If you make little goals, you will reach your target weight much faster. Think of how many pounds you want to lose in a month, write it down, and then you can really monitor and plan how to get there.
2. If you are like me and you hate the gym, think of other ways to get a good workout. I recommend playing your favorite sport. I love to swim, so swimming is like playing to me. I go in the pool and swim some laps. Swimming is actually an amazing workout! You might want to also try walking. Sometimes walking seems like it's not helping you to burn calories, but it is! Every little bit of exercise counts and helps. If you can, try speed walking or jogging to feel the impact a little more. Do you own a dog? Walking or running with him is great!
3. Go into your kitchen and give away all your junk food. If it's not there, you can't eat it. A big problem I had in the past was giving in to my desires and grabbing the bag of chips that seemed to always be calling my name. Now, I stock up on fruits and vegetables, and when I'm hungry, these satisfy my cravings the same way candy and chips would. You should also try cooking your own meals so you know exactly what's in them. Sometimes we eat what we think is a healthy meal, not realizing that it could be filled with butter or fat that we don't taste. Turn cooking into a fun family time. Or if you live alone, invite friends over and cook for them. You will learn how satisfying it is to cook for someone!
