So there have been many blogs on Valsecrets.com about hobbies. Well when I was younger my parents and I always use to go camping. It felt like we would go every weekend, and I loved it. We would take the dog and go backpacking. We stopped about when I was in seventh grade and since then I haven't been camping since. Just recently my boyfriend and I decided that we were going to plan a camping trip for sometime this summer. So we thought it would be great to go along the Delaware River so we could also go rafting. My secret to going camping is to do you research, ask around and find a great site. Calling many different sites gives you an idea on prices around and also where is the most popular. To save some money as well, we are going to be using my parents camping equipment so we don't have to rent or buy things. While camping there are great activities such as hiking, rafting (if you are near a river) and sitting by the camp fire. Some tips for while you are there, bring secure food bags and tie them one a branch of a near by tree. This keeps them off of the ground and out of the reach of bears. Of course bug spray and sun screen are a must. I hope you enjoy this secret!
