ValSecrets Hosts Birthday Event for Founder and Donates to Heads Up! Literacy Program
New York, NY; Saturday, July 25th, 2009 - ValSecrets, the online advice and entertainment network, celebrated owner and founder Valeria Tignini’s birthday Thursday night with a charity event at the Eli Klein Art Gallery in Manhattan. The event benefited the Heads Up! Literacy Program for the Youth at the New York City Cornell Hospital.
ValSecrets is a New York based social networking company designed for women to share tips, advice and entertaining information in video blogs (vlogs), written blogs and photos.
Among the sponsors for the event were the TheBlaqList, Rhythm Liquor and Avanti Photography. Valeria was fashioned by 213 Industry courtesy of The Green Room NYC, a company whose clothing has recently been spotted on celebrities like Michelle William, Amanda Crew, Selena Gomez, Lindsay Lohan, and Tia Walker. DJ Rumor, often spinning for fashion and corporate events including Armani Exchange, Nanette Lepore, Diane Von Furstenberg, Christie’s, Cipriani’s, Project and MTV & VH 1 donated his time to the cause by providing the entertainment for the event.
Founder, Valeria Tignini, said after the event, “It was such an incredible success. So many businesses and individuals worked with us to make this night very productive and tons of fun. We received many books that will help many children at the Cornell Hospital. This is what ValSecrets is all about – community and helping one another! It truly was a feel good day. I look forward to helping other organizations in the near future"
Over one hundred books were collected for the Heads Up! Literacy Program for the Youth at the New York City Cornell Hospital; as well as over twenty educational toys and a Hooked on Phonics program donated by television celebrity, Ken Stafford. Also in attendance were representatives from the NY Post, Celebrity Clubber, Style, The Green Room NYC, Style by Jersey, Cocktails and Connections and Kaleidoscope Pictures. The ValSecrets Neighbors (web site video bloggers and contributors) were also there to help out with the party. Press at the event included GuestofaGuest, TheBlaqList, and CassWorld.
