Breezing through our local department store in search of my husband and my perfect Halloween outfits as Britney Spears and Kevin Federline my husband comes to a sudden stop an starts laughing. I walk over to see what the big giggle was and there was ...a Snuggy. The blanket with sleeves itself! Not just any old Snuggy, this one was leopard print. Now, not only did I find this ridiculous and the color even more comical. But here is why:
We rescued an orange tabby cat three years ago as a kitten. His name is Keane and he is a very funny little guy. We noticed he had a thing for leopard print. Anytime anyone would come over with a leopard shirt, there he goes. He jumps on them, kneads, purrs, and drools all over them. So we dubbed anything leopard print as the name... Keane's Mamas Fur. We think the leopard reminds him of his Mom since he is so spotted like a leopard.
So back to the Snuggy. My husband insisted he bought this for me to wear since Keane knows I am his adoptive Mom. I said ok and was not so sure Keane would take this huge oversized backwards shirt seriously. As soon as we got home I put it on. Wow, huh! This is pretty comfy. I feel cozy. No! No! I cannot love this, it's a Snuggy! Then out of left field, there is Keane running to me. He jumps on me, goes crazy with the kneading, drooling, and would not get off of me for over an hour. Now every time he sees me in the Snuggy, he is right there again, same affection, always. My Mom came over to visit me one day and I wanted to show her my new trick. She laughed, thought I looked like a total a** and ran out and bought my Shih Tzu, CeCe, a pink Snuggy for dogs for Christmas. I cannot wait to see what my little pumpkin looks like with her Snuggy or how us ladies look together snuggling in the couch in matching Snuggies. So I leave this story with an open mind. (LOL) If you see a Snuggy and want to buy it, go for it. After I confessed my Snuggy love, other friends of mine have come forward and admitted too, they secretly own a Snuggy...and love it!
